Lance Oberlin, Managing Director

CTO Rescue LLC was founded by our Managing Director, Lance Oberlin. Lance is a seasoned technology executive who brings military precision and private sector business acumen to fractional CTO leadership. His unique journey from U.S. Navy enlisted sailor to Naval Officer (Lieutenant Commander), achieved through the prestigious Seaman-to-Admiral program, laid the foundation for a distinguished career in technology leadership.

Lance’s expertise spans the full spectrum of technology leadership, including roles as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Business Unit Chief Information Officer (CIO), as well as having complete cyber security leadership responsibility. Lance has particular strengths in digital transformation and M&A technology integration.

Throughout his career, Lance has successfully:

Led technology integration for acquisitions up to $900M.
Created and executed multi-year technology roadmaps
Driven business process improvement through automation
Implemented comprehensive cyber security programs
Developed innovative solutions for business growth

His experience includes technology leadership roles at prominent organizations including Direct Connect Logistix, Allegion, Jabil, Cisco Systems, Cardinal Health, and the United States Navy, where he consistently delivered strategic technology initiatives that drove business value.

Lance Holds an MBA from Florida State University, a Digital Transformation Certificate from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Business from The George Washington University. His U.S. Navy leadership background combined with extensive private sector experience offers a unique perspective on disciplined execution and strategic technology leadership.

Based in Houston, Texas, and the proud father of his 17-year-old son, Lance brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to technology leadership challenges facing middle market companies. When Lance isn’t in the office, you can usually find him fishing.
